2023: What A Year!

Welcome to Our Year in Review

We can’t believe it’s already 2024!

As we enter the new year, we thought we’d take this opportunity to reflect on the highlights of 2023 (and we’re proud to say that there were a lot of them!). Last year seemed to fly by faster than any other year before it, and for everyone at Fountain Digital, it really was one to remember.  

Starting With a Bang

We started the year with a bang, signing up an amazing 32 new websites and SEO campaigns in January and February alone. The web team and the marketing team were the busiest they had ever been, and it was literally all systems go.

Danny became a fully-fledged member of the Royal BNI in Eastbourne, a networking group of fantastic, local businesses. The continued support we receive from this group has been invaluable and we have all come to know and appreciate the individual BNI members.

Growing Our Network

Part of our plan for 2023 was to increase our networking efforts. We achieved this with flying colours, with Danny at BNI, Chalk & ESBOF, Karen and Zoe at the Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce events and Jen at the regular Longman Lunches. It was great to get out there and meet new people, hear about their businesses, and see how we could support one and other.

It was at one of these networking events that Karen met Nick from Brilliant Businesses and in March we recorded our very own podcast. It was a special moment for FD, having the opportunity to tell our story of how the company was formed, what drives us every day, and what makes the company truly exceptional.  

Teaching the Next Generation

Throughout the year we welcomed two work experience students, one from a local secondary school and another from a local college. Taking the time to show what we do and see their passion for web design and digital marketing was very rewarding.  

Charity is Everything

The web team were thrilled to work with two amazing charities, Children with Cancer Fund and Children’s Respite Trust. These phenomenal charities provide help, support and so much more to children and families across the local area. We hold both charities very close to our hearts and feel privileged to support them and design their websites.    

Amazing Events & Exhibitions

We also had the pleasure of attending a range of amazing events throughout the year. From the legendary Airbourne event with Eastbourne’s Chamber of Commerce, to the Brighton & Hove Business Show at the Amex.

In September we exhibited at DigiFest. It was the first event of its kind, bringing the best of digital businesses from Eastbourne and Sussex together and welcoming students and businesses from across the local area. The event was a great success with insightful talks and a huge turnout. We personally met some fantastic people and are pleased to say that one of them is now an incredible team member at FD! 😲

Fountain Digital Receives Recognition!

October and November were months of mixed emotions. Zoe celebrated her 2-year anniversary with FD and we said a sad farewell to our amazing web designer, Owen.

The team then attended the Eastbourne Business Awards. A fantastic evening as always and we were thrilled to win the Customer Service Excellence award. To say we were over the moon is an understatement. To win any award is amazing but to win an award that embodies the heart and soul of the company is very significant and special to us. It’s a moment we will treasure for a very long time to come.

In true FD style we ended 2023 with a bang, welcoming our newest team member, Heather. We met Heather at the DigiFest event and when an opportunity in the web team arose, we knew she was the perfect person. Welcome Heather!  

Here’s to the Future

We are thrilled to have had such an amazing year. Not only are we proud of our business as a whole but we are so happy to see the numerous successes of our clients over the last year. We feel incredibly lucky to be part of their journey too.

Last but not least, we are so thankful for our team, every member brings their own strengths and skills to FD and has helped us to grow from strength to strength.

Now we can't wait to see what 2024 may bring. If it's anything like 2023, we know that it will be phenomenal!
